Want a hint on what it is?

Well, it has nothing to do with giant piles of snow, conservative Dutch religious types, or breakfast cereal producer Kelloggs. (How’s that for defining West Michigan?) It does however have to do with local radio station WaYfm (89.9fm in Grand Rapids, 88.3 in Kalamazoo).

You see, in addition to writing CD reviews for one of the local papers, I now do reviews on the radio. So if you live in the area (or if you wanted to listen online at www.way.fm), tune in every Tuesday morning around 7:30am for a rundown of the new releases and my two cents on each one.

What does this have to do with Thom and/or Tom? Well nothing, but can’t you just be happy for me? Just this once?

Geez.

The real story is this: In addition to being the most talented unpublished author to date, I am officially a playwright. Officially. Last Saturday, my play “The Story of Noah” was performed by a talented cast of 4-through-8-year-olds for a group of grandmothers at the bookstore where I work. I tell you, nothing is more satisfying than seeing your creative masterpiece being played out in front of you. Well, probably a few things are more satisfying, but rather than dwell on those, think about this: puppies.

Wasn’t that pleasant?

First, look at yourself. Notice where you are and what you are doing.* This is something you are going to remember forever. The beginning of a new era of literature. It’s possible that even the modern accounting of years will change to commemorate the first official post on Thomandtom.com.

I don’t mean to speak too highly of myself, my stories, or my ability to write amazing posts, but this is as fine as it gets in every category available. Run, don’t walk, to your local bookstore and start hyping Josh Mosey as the author of the century. If the expectations are high enough, it won’t matter whether the published piece is any good or not, people will buy because other people are buying it.

I’m pretty sure that these are the things I’m supposed to be saying. Right?

Anyway, we finally got the internet and I can actually update the website now. If I come off too forward in this post, check back later as time and proposal rejections will probably have a humbling effect on me.

Either that, or every pompous thing I’ve said is true and it won’t matter anyway.

So check back soon! Or Else!

*Chances are good that you are at a computer somewhere, probably on thomandtom.com, maybe even reading this post.
